As a Set Designer/Stage Manager for East Rockaway Junior - Senior High School Maria had to learn to work with a Master Carpenter, and a Theatrical Director. Maria was tasked with managing the production of painting/designing the sets, as well as managing, and directing the Stage Crew club. Teaching kids the ropes of being backstage.

When working as a Teacher's Assistant at Seaford Manor Elementary School Maria had to conduct discrete trials as a one to one Aide, and took instructional approach to meet students IEP goals. She Implemented student behavior plans for the purpose of ensuring an effective and safe learning environment. Maria cooperates and collaborates with co-workers and support staff in assessing and helping students with physical, learning, and behavioral needs. Has Experience working in various settings from general education to self-contained special education.
